Hi,
I think the margins are only for printing.  Anyway, I just changed it to 0
on my own computer, and I still find the first character in Notepad in cell
# 2.
It was definitely a good thought and worth a try though.

What's her left margin set to?  In Notepad, page Set-up, the default 
left and right margins both are 20 millimeters.  (This is the value in 
Windows XP.  I presume it's the same in vista.)
