Aloha,
Yes, I was seeing them but JAWS said "blocked" before the name. I was
successful in following your great instructions.
I love this list!

Hello there;
well, I'm assuming your using the latest version of windows live messenger,
to unblock someone,
try the following;
1, open messenger,
2, alt+t=tools,
3, O=options,
now, shift+tab one time, you should hear, general,
now, arrow down until you hear,
privacy,
or, you could just press the letter P until you hear, privacy.
as for adding a contact,
you can tab while in the messenger window until you hear, add a
contact or group button, press enter,
you could press alt+c=add a contact..... press enter.
I hope this helps,
are you certain that the contacts your adding are being blocked, or,
is it that your just not seeing them,
you then may want to have your contacts,
sorted by online offline status, or, name, etc,
you do this by,
alt+t=tools,
O=options,
again, shift+tab, you will land on general,
now, tab until you hear layout,
now, tab and make your necessary changes.
I hope this helps,

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Unblocking someone in Windows Live Messenger
I am running XP Home and the JAWS beta, 12.0.451. I have recently
downloaded and installed Messenger. I am doing something wrong when
I add contacts and they are showing as blocked. I have read the
JAWS information pertaining to Messenger, and looked through the
Help topics in Messenger, but I can't
1. Figure out how to keep the additions to my contact list from
showing as blocked, and
2. Find out how to unblock them.
A friend said to go to the Contacts Menu and click on Unblock, but
it isn't there.
Any help will be most appreciated.
