I sent a text message to myself using my cell phone plus carrier as
described. I eventually got a delivery failure notice in my e-mail
and no text message on my phone.
I checked out the links at teleflip.com which the post said could be
used if you don't know a carrier. The company has ceased operation
so that method doesn't work either.
This is really too bad since the idea seems good.
