Thank you, Don. I am checking things out before I decide to leave my current
e-mail client. This is very helpful.

Yes, I use a Verizon email account. It is very basic in the fact it does
not support communicating to your email client with IMAP or use secure
email like gmail. It does support POP3 downloading of your email messages
from their server to your client. There should be a help page for setting
up a POP3 client on their webmail page. I am assuming that your Verizon
email service would work like mine, possibly the same service.

Hi, if you mean Verizon with a letter Z instead of an S <grin>, , yes, it
does, or it did as of September 12 when my address changed from Verizon
to Frontier due to Verizon in my state being sold to Frontier.
You'll need to configure OE or outlook. You can find the info under the
Verizon tech support page. If you are setting up an account for the
first time, you'll need to be sure to tell them that you don't want to
use Yahoo Or MSN or whatever they're pushing now.
I have the info for setting up a sub account around here that I can post
if you think it will help. In either case, you need to set up the user
name and password via the main verizon site.

Hi everyone,
Is there anyone using Verison for their e-mail? I am wondering if it
works
with Outlook and Outlook express?
