It is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet file. If you have Word, you probably
have Excel as part of Office. It is probably most easily read with Excel.
However, if it does not contain many columns or extremely wide, perhaps it
could be converted to a Word table.

on things that matter.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Converting an .XLS file
Hi All;
I have received an .XLS file that I'm having a hard time trying to read.
I'm having a hard time because I don't know didly squot about how to read
a
.XLS file. I went to the file menu and didn't see an option to convert it
to a Word document or text file. Does anyone know a way that I can
convert this file? Or, would someone give me some quick steps on
navigating an .XLS file? I really feel a Doctor Phil session coming on!
LOL All help will be greatly appreciated. Lord only knows, just how
greatly appreciated. Thanks much. Take care.
The UnExcel Mike
