The steps as I figured them out myself are as follows.

when I wanted to increase my data partition I first had to decrease my
system partition. That gave me some space to work with. So I decreased my
system partition by the amount that I wanted my data partition to increase.
This obviously gave me some unallocated space, so the next thing I did was
open the data partition and copied the amount of unallocated space and added
it to the size of my existing data partition. This made my data partition
the size I wanted by reassigning the unallocated space. Partition magic
would automatically take space from another partition when you wanted to
increase a given partition but at least for me this program doesn't. The
thing is this program in my opinion works just fine if not better and the
amount of steps is not significant at all.

I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I'll probably screw that one up
too.

Assistant

Thanks,
this is exactly what I have been doing with no luck. For some reason the
program just will not recognise that 2.5 gig of free space. I can see it
but the program just will not display it it shows in the free space
before the operation as zero bites.
