You can still have the firewall to protect that wireless network from
any attack. Anyway, you can worry about firewall when you are part of a
big network, for example when you connect your laptop wireless network
to the Internet or another network.
Most hardware hubs may provide some form of firewall, but an added layer
of security is always a bonus when dealing with a large-scale attack
such as computer hacking.

Sure it's accessible with Jaws as it is just a dialog-based program.
It is free for both personal and commercial use.
I personally found it reliable when working with disk monitoring and
registry. It will even remove some cookies from your browser cache.
For maintenance purposes, you might also consider having a good firewall
program like Zone Alarm or WinPatrol. These will make sure that your
computer does not attract unnecessary attention from the network.
Also you may try the Sophos Rootkit Revealer to clean your PC of any
rootkits.

I have heard that a lot of blind persons are using this. Is this free
program good for cleaning your registry pretty well? I really do not know
a
lot of about it and would like some feedback. I do have Microsoft
essentials
on my machine what other programs as far as maintenance do I need?
Thanks
