Nancy,
You will be well served by removing Avast and installing Microsoft Security Essentials.

It is very unfortunate that the developers of Avast have gone down the road that leaves their very fine product inaccessible to screen reader users.

I just put Avast 5.0 something on one of my computers, and I cannot remember what the settings are to make the screen more readable for JAWS sscreen readers. Could someone some some instructions (possibly again)?

TIA,
Nance
