You will be well served by removing Avast and installing Microsoft
Security Essentials.
It is very unfortunate that the developers of Avast have gone down the

I just put Avast 5.0 something on one of my computers, and I cannot
remember what the settings are to make the screen more readable for JAWS
sscreen readers. Could someone some some instructions (possibly again)?
