okay, give these steps a try;
when you go to a web site, and your prompted that you need the active x
controls,
do the following;
1, press alt+n,
you should see a screen;
To help protect your security, Internet Explorer blocked this site from
downloading files to your computer. Click here for options...
2, press the spacebar, you should see the following screen;
Download File...
What's the Risk?
Information Bar Help
so here you would enter on download,

Hello, I try to accept active x controls on sites after the beep. But I
cant get the dialogue to pop up to allow it to run. I am using jaws 10
and ie8. Can someone tell me how to do this because, some of the sites
won't work with the active x controls. Thank you Heather
