Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll try using NVDA, as I believe that it fully
supports Win 7.

It is not officially supported is the short answer. The long answer is as
follows:
1. You will not be able to use the list of task tray icons with
insert+f11.
2. Not everything will speak properly.
3. There may be stability or reliability issues.
These are all fixed or enhanced in JAWS 11 or later.
