Just to add one more little thing. Sometimes when you get into those
things and use the alt down arrow, when you move down, it doesn't say
the entry. If you tab and then shift tab back it will read it. I
always feel like i'm sneaking up on it.

First you activate Forms Mode on the combo box by pressing the Space
bar. Now the secret is to press Alt + Down Arrow to open the list of
options. Actually, it looks like a drop down list. It is now safe
to Arrow Up and Down through the list without the page
refreshing. Pressing Alt + Up Arrow will close the list of options
and only show the selected item. On pages that automatically
refresh, it will happen at this point.

that I am working on things that matter.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Refreshable Combo Boxes
Does anyone know how to handle those combo or list boxes that refresh the
page when you make a selection?
Example: choosing a country like mine Barbados and the first b isn't baraine
and the page refreshes to that setting before I can make my selection.
I know there's a way around this, but I can't remember what it is. Please
help!
Kerry
