Chris, I'll respond just on the foot note question. This depends mostly on the expectations of those for whom you are writing. A teacher in college might expect that you use footnotes. Because she wants the convenience of just glancing at the bottom of the page rather than flipping to the back of the paper, as she reads. But often nowadays, end notes are used instead to avoid the clutter of footnotes and make things read easier. Blessings, Tom
