The image is encoded to the system it was created on. You can change out 
hard drives BTW that part of the tutorial I am working on this afternoon but 
a full system change I don't believe that is possible unless you have 2 
systems exactly the same I don't know about that case, other wise I think 
not.

Hello.

thx to the fellow listers for the info on 'Image for windows' for which 
David F is preparing an audio tutorial.
One thing that perplexes me is whats stopping anyone to back up their HD 
data and OS onto an external USB hard drive and then go ahead and put that 
image on the HD of another PC altogether which may have a diff version of 
windows or where the OS might be malfunctioning or whatever.  This clearly 
would be cheating and I'm just curious to know what stops one from doing 
this using 'Image for Windows'?
