Hi Marilyn;

To turn off ttab browsing do the following.
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Press alt + t for tools & O for options.
3. On the General page tab down to tab browsing settings & press the 
spacebar.
4. If the Enable Tabbed Browsing (requires restarting Internet Explorer) box 
is checked press the spacebar to uncheck it.
5. Tab to okay press enter & tab to okay & press enter again.
6. Close Internet Explorer & reopen.  Tab browsing should now be turned off.
