Thanks for the reply, but as I posted earlier, I was mistaken in my original
post. I believe I am running IE 7. Also, I do not and will not for the
foreseeable future be able to afford any newer versions of JAWS than the one
I own.
I can't even "downgrade" my IE 7, as I do not have access to the Menu bar.
I have to solve this problem from within JAQWS 7.1.01 or not at all.

Good morning: first of all you must upgrade to "Jaws" 10 in order for you

be able to use IE 8.
all your troubles will go away.
"Jaws" 7.1 does not support IE 8. Good luck.
