Good afternoon Janie.
One key difference in 2010 is the "backstage view", which replaces the
familiar file menu. From here you can do almost all of the same functions
one could previously find in the file menu, except that it opens in a
separate window. Use the arrow keys, tab key, and enter to navigate. I
have found some difficulties with the spell check feature, particularly with
reading the sentence or line from which the misspelled word was located in.
Perhaps someone on this list knows how to solve that using Jaws 12.
If you have specific questions, please feel free to ask, as I am forcing
myself to learn the entire office suite.
As far as obtaining a full license, I am a student, and receive the suite at
a significant discount, so could help you out in that department if you
wish.
I do like the responsiveness of the programs, and use them frequently. You
will find that many of the hot keys remain the same, i.e. the settings for
changing paragraphs or fonts.
Good luck, and happy Thanksgiving to you as well.
Warmly,
Melissa

Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Word 2007 to 2010?

Hi,
Based on my experience, I find office 2010 better than office 2007.
Especially, when we give a command to print, it also shows the possibility
of the printer to be able to print one-sided or double-sided. You can open
the combo box by pressing alt and down arrow and make a choice. The sighted
users say that it is not necessary to go to the print preview for viewing
the number of pages to be printed.

Unfortunately, I used only the trial version and wish for a possibility to
obtain full license.
I hope somehow, I could answer your question.
