Hi Donnie,
In Word 2000:
If you go to the format menu and then to paragraph, tab across to the combo box that gives you three line spacing choices.

If you are in a document that has already been created, and you want all of it to have the same spacing, highlight all of it and use one of the following:
control1 for single
control5 will give you 1.5 spacing
control2 will give you doublespacing.

If you are typing a document and you want different parts to have different spacing, use one of the above before you type the text. If you already have a document and you want to change one paragraph, highlight it and use one of the key combinations above.

It has been my experience that Word will lie about the line number that you are on because when you check to see where you are, Word only counts lines with text on them, not any blank ones.

I am using Word 2000. How do I set the default for line spacing? Also, is there a key command
where I can change it temporarily?
