Dude, just do your modifier m, hince, ctrl+windows key+m several times until you hear all mute. That'll keep it from quote: going off all day. That's what I do with Qwitter when I'm inna recording session, and can't be bothered.

There is a program call quitter that is available for download on the
programs page of this domain that seems to serve as an interface most blind people like to use. I've looked at it and it does work but the idea of those
things going off all day on my computer has no appeal to me but it is
accessible.
