Hello there;
no, the page refresh filter is used on the internet.
I'm not sure what problem your having with MSWord;
perhaps, you could,
change the zoom to 75%
make sure the screen is maximized,
what problem are you having?

I didn't get your last message until this one was already sent. Would that
also be the cause of Microsoft Word 2007 behaving in the same manner?
Thanks for your assistance.

hello there;
as I indicated in my last message, you need to turn off the page refresh
filter.

I would love to hear the solution to this as well. I also have these
problems, but have never been able to get an answer to it. I don't know
if you experience it in replying to a message or not, but I also when
replying to a message can be typing along and then all of a sudden when
checking back on the message I end up inserting sentences where they
don't need to be or the cursor will jump down to the individuals email
and before I realize it I have typed a whole message in the other
person's email. I have now gotten in the habit of checking frequently
though where I am. Also, when typing out a message I could start out in
the edit field of the message and end up in a windows search box where
Jaws has lost focus. I noticed this has occurred with this message as
well if you scroll down you will see an example of what I am referring to
in Scorpio's email. Take care

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Cursor Jumping Around With Jaws 12
Hi Folks, cursor will jump down to the individuals email and before I
realize it I have typed a whole message in the other person's email. I
have now gotten in the habit of checking frequently though where I am.
Also, when typing out a message I could start out in the edit field of
the message and end up in a where Jaws has lost focus.windwos search
box
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this for themselves?
When I'm on a webpage, the focus seems to jump from one place to
another, and links aren't activating when entering on them in several
cases.
The same is happening with Outlook Express, where the message will read
the one before it, or, it'll say not selected on the message after the
one I'm actually sitting on, and so I have to wait until Jaws reads the
headers of the next message before I can read the headers of the
current message I'm sitting on.
Websites are the worst though. I'll be on one part of the page, and
suddenly the focus will jump to another area of the page, or, Jaws will
be sluggish and slow to respond to my keystrokes on a webpage.
Another example I can posit is on the Yahoo Webmail site, when I'm
sitting on a message, and I'm in the first heading of the page, where
the subject line is, I'll try to tab to the add to address book link,
and it jumps to the end of the message, several links down, and so have
to shift+tab up to the link I wanted in the first place.
Again, I'm using the latest build of Jaws 12, Windows XP, Internet
Explorer 8, and Outlook Express 6.
Aside from the Yahoo mail site, located at:
http://mail.yahoo.com
I can give the following website as an example where the focus and
cursor jump around drastically, and Jaws is slow to respond:
http://www.futureshop.ca
I hope people can, either, corroborate my experiences, or have a
solution that will help me solve the issues.
Scorpio
