If there using windows7 64bit. They might be using the 32bit of
windows mail. It would also run, but may lack features because of not
being 64bit.

hello there;
are you using a 64bit machine?
I have spoke to some users of 64bit machines, using windows mail,
and they can't create message rules, nothing seems to get selected
even though the spacebar is pressed on specific message filter criteria.

Hi List!
I am using Win 7 with Windows Mail and it sure is better than
Outlook 2010 or Win Live Mail. Only problem is that I can't seem
to make a message rule. One starts out by having to pick a criteria
and the one I want to use is "where to from lines contains people"
but I can't seem to get it checked. I've tried pressing the space
bar, the enter key on both the regular keyboard and the number pad
as well as trying to press alt+c as suggested. None of that seems
to work. I just get silence and, if I try to continue, I am told I
have to pick a criteria before going on. Any thoughts?
Linda

Well, I was told by someone at bestbuy that if I got win7
ultimate, I could have outlook express. Apparently it costs
more than the win7 basic version and is considered as an upgrade
for win7. Heather

Whoever told her she could not get O E with w7 is
correct. It's no longer entegraded into the OS. The best she
could do is Windows Live Mail, or she could get Thunderbird, or
Outlook from MS Office, but that is the best she could do.
There are ways out there that are written to hack the OS and
get OE, but trust me, they'll crash the system. I know as I
tried that stunt on a friend's pc and darn near killed the thing.
Chris.
