Windows Media Center is a little more accessible if you know it's hotkeys. I hope you can download the following Word document.

There is just so much stuff in the world that, to me, is devoid of any real substance, value, and content that I just try to make sure that I am working on things that matter.

Hi

Media Center is only somewhat JAWS friendly. The menus seem to speak ok,
but many other parts won't say anything. You can change channels by using
the page-up and page-down keys, or by just entering the channel number. But you have to set up the TV signal to match how your cable to your computer.
You will need sighted assistance to go through this setup. Also how your
cable connects to the PC may require additional hardware. When I switched
cable companies a few years back. the new service required a set top box.
I had to get an IR Blaster so that the computer could send remote signals to
the set top box.

So, I tried the media center thing today, and couldn't really find my way
around it. Started watching a show on CBS, and it stopped in the middle.
Plus, I couldn't find how to switch to a different network. So anyone who
knows there way around windows media center please email me at
[email protected]
Or click the link in my signature for face book and chat with me there. The
other thing I was looking in to is cutting out the overpriced cable I pay
for each month. So I searched for premium TV on PC. Since I have the
capability to put whatever is on my PC, on to my HDTV, I think this would be a much more affordable option. So upon searching for this I came across the
following article:
http://consumersguides.org/satellite_tvm.htm
It claims that most companies are ripping you off, the channels they provide aren't live, and the picture isn't what they promise. They give 3 companies that they have chosen from the hundreds they have reviewed. I found 1 they
didn't review, who claims to be licensed and legal to sell these 5000
channels, for a 1 time fee of 40 bucks, with a sixty day money back
guarantee. There web address is:
http://www.premiumtvforpc.com/?hop=tina404
Says there is some software to download, and also claims you can download
and watch later. Thoughts, suggestions?
