hello Mandy;

whether it's good to have the virtual ribbon menu off or on, is a personal
preference.
having the virtual ribbon menu on, helps folks navigate the menu using the
alt-key, and using the right/left arrow to navigate.
having the virtual ribbon off, allows folks to use the hot-keys,
plus, with the ribbon off, you can use both arrow keys, and the tab key
within the menu's.

hope this helps.

What is the virtual ribbon for? Presumably it’s best to have it turned off?

Mandy.

hello Mandy;

I should also add,
when you have the virtual ribbon menu on, you don't hear the quick shortcut
keys, such as,
alt/o/r,
actually jaws says,
message rules button
alt followed by O comma 'r

hello Mandy;

I'm assuming you have the jaws virtual ribbon menu on?

if you turn it off,
then pressing, alt/o/r will take you to the message rules,
you can turn it off, by insert+v=adjust jaws options,
now press the letter,
"v", now spacebar to turn it off.
you can do this right from the WLM.

Hi.

I have a problem with this because if I do alt, letter o then letter r it
takes me to new folder. Does this mean something can be reset so that I can
follow your instruction?
Mandy.

There have been emails about this before which unfortunately I have not
kept.

I am using Windows Live mail with the latest update and finding message
rules is very hit and miss. It seems I have to do alt v and then cursor
down to the lower ribbon and just keep tabbing around in hope but it is
taking ages and still I cannot find it.

Help!Mandy.
