  Full screen takes off the menue bar and I believe the task bar. Once in a
  while you find a web page that won't scroll and this allows more 
information
  to be displayed on the screen. Some of the old chat clients were this way.
  Full screen would allow more names to show in the list and also some links
  that were at the bottom of the screen would appear.
