I often browse through the keyboard manager if I am trying to find a keystroke. They are typically named pretty reasonably, so it isn't too difficult to find them.

I also tend to cheat a lot because I use cygwin, which is a linux like interface for windows. So I can do text searches on files pretty quickly and look for the occurrence of a string in a bunch of files, quickly and easily.

Admittedly, that isn't a solution for most people, but because I work in a linux environment all day, I kind of like the interface.
