I am aware of the email addresses that pop up are not the same as the ones that are in my address book. I googled my issue and found a possible solution but lol I am afraid to try it out because I am afraid that I might dammage my system and some folks on this list already know that I have punked my system numerous times in a short period of time. Anyways, what I found out via the use of google was that i need to clear the auto-complete email address cash. Now here are the steps that i need to take and this is for outlook 2003.
list of 3 items Start typing in the address that shows up incorrectly. Hit the Down arrow key to select the auto completed address. Hit the Delete key to delete the auto complete address list end The other way is by opening the profile folder and deleting the .nk2 file. list of 2 items Open up windows explorer, and paste the following into the address bar:%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Outlook Delete the Outlook.NK2 file that you find in this folder. list end Ok, what is outlookNK2 and if I am understanding this right, if I delete the outlookNK2, the addresses that automatically pop up will no longer pop up? I know how to turn off automatic phill in outlook 2007 but that is not the issue I am trying to resolve. As I stated the other night, I have tons of emails that just randomly pop up when typing in the to field and I want to rid them and never have them pop up again. This solution that I coppied and pasted here I am thinking might work but again, I don't know what the outlookNK2 file is and what that will do or if possibly dammage my outlook.
