I think what this poster may be driving at is a Jaws setup similar to that which can be provided by NVDA on an autorun CD. The benefit of such a setup is that the portable version of NVDA or potentially Jaws in 40 minute mode can be autorun from any PC without the need for sighted intervention. The problem with later Windows OS after XP is that autorun applications from a USB pen will not, as far as I am aware, work without sighted help or knowledge of a key sequence to learn without sight. A screenreader in portable guise starting from a CD automatically is very useful therefore. Whilst I have such a CD for NVDA I have never made a Jaws equivalent because of the problem that Jaws needs a pre installed Video Intercept driver . If the poster knows that the FS Video Intercept driver is installed on a PC it may well be possible to create an autorun CD based on a portable version of Jaws. Of course if the licence for Jaws is not held on that machine he would be restricted to using Jaws in 40 minute demo mode. If the poster really needs this capacity it could be done but for casual access to random PCs he may be better off with NVDA as this does not need the Video Intercept driver. Not a discussion for this list perhaps now.

Now I have in the past been successful in burning a copy of the jaws install file on to a CD and creating an auto run INF file for the purpose of doing a tandem session wih say my cousin who lives out of town and I didn't want to give him my factory copy of the jaws disk. He runs in demo moe so I can work on his system, below I will paste sample code. [autorun] open=J10.0.1154.exe Naturally change the file name to what ever version of jaws you are using. Also, what do you mean when you say you copied Jaws onto a cd, and where did you copy it from?
