Well...all good ideas. however, it seems a bit more insidious. It's not simply a screen highlight setting problem. I got a reply from FS today involving the default settings file. I don't recall the exact fix, but I'll let our official office geek department take the next step.

I am plagued by our friend jaws announcing the time at every minute's
change. It happens regardless of the program I'm in.  Any hints on how

can get back to getting the time only on demand?
