David, I want JAWS to come through the laptop speaker and everything else to
come through the external sound card.
I know how to make JAWS come through an external sound card, but how do I
make JAWS come through the laptop speakers as it does now?

All kidding aside yes of course you can do that, no problem at all. I
always
have multiple sound cards for doing tandem sessions. This is so if I get
somebody on the other end who keeps on chattering in my ear I can turn
their
volume down and still listen to jaws on the other card. In the jaws
utility
menu there is a place to choose your sound card to have jaws come out of,
try and find it first. If you can't and I think you can just ask and I'll
give further instructions.
