Hi Patti & Alan;

Try the following.
1. While in OE press Insert / Jaws key + V, for Jaws options.
2. Press the letter F, to land, Focus Loss Announcement or, arrow down until 
you have Focus Loss Announcement highlighted.
3. Press the spacebar until you hear, Focus Loss Announcement, On.
4. Press enter to save your change & close.

This is what works for me.  Hope this helps.  Take care.
