Yes that will work, but when you go out of that document the setting goes
back to default.

Did you try just simply using the modifier and the number 2 which changes 
from characters to words to both characters and words?

Hi All,



I am using the latest version of Jaws 12.1161 on a windows 7 32 Bit system
PC. . I have been through this topic with a fine tooth comb. I want to have
Word Echo on, which I can do on individual applications, how can I get
global recognition of this setting.

Each time I exit a program Typing Echo reverts back to Character echo.

I have tried to make  the change in the Jaws settings etc, using execute in
the appropriate field even just closing the subject.



What  am I missing? Regards
