The dom is the page structure underneath the web page that determins how
it is viewed. It normally mirrors your source code but can be updated by
javascript and other languages.
I dont think you can view it in ie without some form of developer add
in, I use chrome and magnification to inspect page elements!

The tags I mentioned are in the head of the document in the source but when you
inspect the DOM they appear in the body.
I think that something in your script must be moving them.
