John, You just frightened me since I use Itunes regularly. I opened it and it's working fine here so that's at least enough info to confirm that the problem is a local one. Recently, I did have a similar problem with the last build of Jaws and Word documents. If you have time, I'd contact Freedom Technical Support immediately. Obviously, something isn't right. If you don't get satisfaction from the first person you talked to, request level 2 support.
