Charline,
Here are a couple of tips you might want to try.
Your best friend when on Itunes is the F6 key. It moves you to various main
displays. Now, in addition to that, you can navigate through the store but
if you don't have an account, you won't be able to download anything, even
free apps.
If you do want to download an app, first go to the Apps Store, then try down
arrow to reach the appropriate selection but you have to click on the Apps
Store first.
Do you have the Ipod Touch in the 64 gigabyte version? That one will talk
to you but the units with the smaller memories do not have the same
capability.
I have never downloaded an app but Apple does have an Accessibility Desk.
There's no direct line. You have to be transferred there by someone in
Customer Service.
Is your Ipod Touch registered? If it isn't, it should be because you can
get quite a bit of fre on line service once you register the product.
The Ipod Touch models with the smaller memory will still work if they are
connected to a computer using the special cable provided.
If you are plugging it in for the first time, it may try to self register.
There's a lot more I can tell you but I don't know how much you know
already.
If I can be of service, please e-mail me off list.
Though this topic is probably appropriate for this list since your computer
is involved and the Ipod Touch is a small computer, I don't want to bore the
rest of the list with long detailed, explanations an descriptions.
There is a book available by Anna Dresner. But it's somewhat obsolete now
since she talks about Itunes version 9 and they are already at version 10
plus.
The Itunes manual is also available from their site as a .pdf document.
Unfortunately though, a lot of it is visually based.
If you need help, I will certainly try my best.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Itunes and JAWS

I have just recently purchased a Ipod which I think I like. My only
problem is the Itunes store, I can't seem to navigate thru it to find the
apps to download. Are there special commands that I need to know to search
thru the page. I seem to get a little head way by pressing the tab key, but
then when I get to a item that I feel I should be to hit the enter key on it
and go into the link I am completely dumbfounded by the fact that I don't
get into the link. Needless to say I am becoming a bit agitated. Any help
will be appriciated Thank you all in advance Charline
