No real advantage unless you have other devices you might want to use blue-tooth with like a cell phone that supports an external blue-tooth keyboard.

One slight disadvantage: If you have a desktop or older laptop, it may not have blue-tooth in which case you'll need to install a blue-tooth adapter. Then, you'll have to pair the keyboard with it, but you normally only have to do that once.

You probably will have similar range using wireless or blue-tooth.
