Hi Geno, Since the email & the steps you followed aren't included with your post I don't which steps you're referring to. So, I will include the steps to uncheck enable protected mode at startup in Adobe. 1. Go to the Adobe Icon on your desktop or start menu & press enter to open Adobe. 2. With the Adobe window now open, press Control + K, to open preferences. When I opened preferences, I landed on the General page. If you don't have the General page highlighted when you open preferences arrow up or down until you do. The General page is #4 of 29. 3. With General highlighted Shift + Tab, 4 times to, Enable Protected Mode at startup, & uncheck this box, You will get a dialog box after unchecking the box, spacebar the yes option, tab to okay, press enter to close preferences, & press Alt + F4 to close Adobe.
I followed the above steps as I typed them & they worked just fine. Hope this helps. Take care. I did not find this in my General list.
