Good Day Donnie:
Try this. Close the message with "alt-f4." That's F4 as function key 4.
I'm sending this convoluted response to be certain I'm clear. Thank you.

Hi LMorris,

I don't know if this will work in Word2007 but, in Word2002 this is where I
went to have page numbers read, except I turned this option on.
While in Word open Jaws options with Insert / Jaws key + V. Press the
letter P, until you have Page, Section, and Multiple Column Breaks
highlighted, press the spacebar until Jaws reads,OFF. Press enter to save
your changes & close.
If there are other ways to turn the reading of pages on / off hopefully
others will let us know. Hope this helps. Take care.
Mike

In Internet Explorer: Go into View menu; Toolbars Submenu; and check the
Status bar.

Hi David,

With IE open, press Insert / Jaws key + V, for Jaws options.
2. Press the letter P, until you land onn Progress Bar. If Jaws says,
Progress bar spoken, you can press escape to close Jaws options. If Jaws
says, progress bar silent, press the spacebar until Jaws reads progress bar
spoken & press enter to save changes & close.

Again with IE open;

1. Press Insert / Jaws key + 6, on the number row above the main keyboard to

open the configuration manager.
2. Press Alt + S, to open Set Options & press the letter U, to open user
options.
3. You should be on, announce progress bar updates. The default setting is
5 second intervals.
4. Tab to okay, press enter, press control + S, to save your changes, & Alt
+ F4 to close.

Someone please jump in if I've missed something or if I'm wrong to correct
me. Hope this helps. Take care.
Mike

I need to know how to have internet explorer periodically speak the
percentage of a page that has loaded so that I know when a large page has
completely loaded, I think I have heard this before. Any suggestions or
  help greatly appreciated.

  Thank You,

  David

If you want to edit a certain appointment,
You can just enter on 1, and make whatever necessary changes, and you will
be asked; if you want to save changes?

Hope this helps.

Yes, that helps a lot. Today, with everyone's help on this list, I was able
to complete my calendar entries. Still do not know how to edit an existing
date, but bet that is in the application key. Thanks so much.

It helps a lot. I had found everything but the control n option and that I
should have known from the way new files are created in Word, Duxbury, etc.
Sometimes I just don't think on my feet.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS and Outlook 2007 Calendar Keystrokes

Good Evening,

I've resisted using the Outlook 2007 calendar for many reasons, none of them
exceptional reasons not to use it. I went to Freedom Scientific's website
and searched for outlook 2007 calendar keystrokes and came up with nothing.

I really need to learn to use the outlook calendar at work. Is there a list
of keystrokes or a tutorial somewhere which would assist a JAWS user to
learn the functions of the outlook 2007 calendar? At work I am using
Windows XP with Office 2007, which came with Outlook 2007.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Vicky Golightly

I am having an agrivating issue with my Windows 7 machine and Outlook 2010.
I would say this is happening about 30 or 40 percent of the time. In
Outlook 2010 when I hit escape to go out of a message it seems as though my
Outlook kind of crashes and automatically opens back up sometimes to the
folder that I was in and sometimes to a totally different folder. When this
happens, the messages that I have just deleted in that folder are
reappearing again. I know this sounds really strange. Is anyone else
having any kind of problem like this. I am using the escape key to get out
of a message. Should I use some other method?

Thanks,
Donnie

Yes Donny I'm having the same problems, and I also use the escape key. Also
a lot of the time when I want to enter into the message, it won't let me, so
I have to do the long way around and tab until it says message read only
edit. What a pain! Kimmie.
