The personalization settings that have changed in Excel are for features tied to files, such as heading announcements, monitor cells, and so on. If you don't use these types of features in Excel, this should not effect you. If you do and noticed that JAWS acts strange in Excel after the update, quit JAWS and restart JAWS in the with default settings. This can be done by pressing Insert + r, to open the run dialog, then type "jaws12 /default", without the quotes. If JAWS now works as expected, the old settingsare getting in the way. Report back if running in default mode fixes your problem, and I will go through fixing this permanantly.

hello.

Earlier today or yesterday there was a post indicating how some personal
settings within Jaws for Excel should be changed in some way so that the JAWS12
works flawlessly with MS Excel 2007. It referred to a significant change in the
way JAWS12 (say the latest Aug 2011 version) deals with personal settings for
Excel. to me that post was too cryptic, so here is my Q.

If I upgrade from one of the first JAWS12 versions to the Jaws12 version
released in the past few days and I migrate to office 2007 or 2010 what do I
exactly need to do so JFW will work flawlessly with Excel, Word and powerpoint
2007 or 2010?

Thx much!
