I did find what I needed in the file menu / page setup option, but thank you

  I believe you'll find what you require in the format manu, alt-o, then
  arrow to it and press the tab key, and then adjust settings
  appropriately. HINT: You can use shift+F1 for more Help in these
  dialogues (in Word XP) if you need it.
