The version of Firefox is 5 . something and my Jaws is the latest of 11.
If I need to, where would I get that version 3 that you recommended?

Which version of firefox are you using? Make sure that your version
of jaws 11 is the very latest build available from fs's website . If
your problems persist, you might want to go back or stick with
Firefox 3.6 which is still actively maintained at the moment.
