Did you have JAWS running? If so, that's why you got that. It thinks Jaws
wants to coppy the DVD so it won't run. This is why I'm glad Microsoft got
rid of the Mirror driver in Windows 8. Hopefully the new CDI driver as I
remember it being called doesn't do this. What this sadely means is, that if
you want to play this DVD, you'll have to use Narrator
. Practicly all my DVDs hav this happen if JAWS or Window Eyes are running.
I wander what would happen if you run NVDA or System Access since they don't
hook the video like those to JFW a nd W E do. But yeah, that's how I deal
with it. I just use Narrator and shut down JAWS. FS knows about this by the
way, I've told them. I notised it when I got my laptop with Vista. It did
this too.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] message when trying to play a DVD movie

When playing movies in WMP, I usually do not have a problem.
Here is the message I received when I tried to play a certain DVD.
Windows Media Player cannot play this DVD because it is not possible to turn
on analog copy protection on the output display.

Does anyone know what this means?
Maybe this DVD is a format that is not supported by WMP?
running windows 7 with latest Jaws.
thanks for any help.
Jim
