I use it all the time. JFW12, JFW13, Win7, XP and Communicator 2007. To read the msg history during an ongoing conversation u have to use the Jaws cursor. When ready to type revert back to the PC cursor and tab or shift tab once or so to land on an edit field where u can type and hit enter to send it and thus add it to the dynamic history of the ongoing conversation.
