You could try Select All with ctrl+a and delete; and start over. or,
turn off virtual cursor with insert+z and then get to and type in the
edit fields. The thing may be javascripted and accepting your input just
one time and in real time.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] cannot erase and write a date over a filled-in
editfield
I have a situation where, on a bank site, you should be able to fill in
a date for making automatic payments. Normally, with forms mode on,
one can backspace over the date or numbers that are already there, and
then replace the edit field with whatever you want to replace it with.
Also, I can't even read the numbers that are there with forms mode on.
In other words, I can't cursor left or right to see where I am in the
field. I'm sure I'm not explaining this right, but using Jaws 12 or
10--tried both--with Internet Explorer 8. My main computer is XP, and
I even went to my Windows 7 laptop and same scenario: unable to
backspace through an edit field so I can replace it with new info. Has
anyone come across this, and do you know if there's a way to do what I
want without sighted assistance?
Joanne
