When I receive an email attachment of a MS Word document and I go to open it, the document opens in MSWord but in what is called "protected" mode. This allows me to read the document with JAWS with no problem but I cannot edit or save it. Likewise, if I save the attachment from the email as a document on my hard drive prior to opening it when I go to open it I get the same result. Is there some type setting I need to change or how can I open the document so I can edit and/or save as a regular Word document?
