There are others on this list who know a lot more than I do about the
workings of JAWS, but I am pretty sure that Research It, does, in fact, go
out to individual web sites and scrapes the data off and presents it to
you in a more friendly format. That is why it is hard to maintain,
because the sites are constantly changing.
I wrote a similar bit of code that would submit data to the Google Transit
site, and return it in a very nicely formatted way. It's not terribly
difficult, but they changed the site enough that my code broke and I
didn't feel like rewriting it.
