Think I would start with a repair to JAWS first.

RJ, it doesn't work for me in most cases. I wonder if there is a repair
I can run on windows 7? Thanks much

Use the win key + m or d and go back to the desktop. Some times alt+ tab
will do it, but I found the win key and m or d works every time.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] No window active or lost focus
I am using windows 7, IE8 and jaws 12.0 latest and outlook 2010. When
I first boot up everything seems fine but when I attempt to change to
another Icon, I run into trouble. When I close one icon on the desktop
and attempt to enter on another one jaws usually says no window active
or lost focus. Sometimes, I can alt F4 plus control escape and escape
again and this will correct things but mostly not and I have to
reboot. I have gone over my settings many times but I can't find
anything wrong. I will appreciate any suggestions and I hope I made
sense of this. I believe this is a windows 7 problem but I am open to
suggestions. Thanks much
