Leonard,
I'm a little behind on my messages but, decided to get through them all
today when I saw your message. As it happens, I set up my Gmail account in
WLM today and remember reading something in the help section about your
issue. I'm not sure if it will help you but, I sure hope it does. If not,
try checking a little more out in the help section of your mail settings
under the imap/pop section. I copied what I read and it is pasted for you
below. Hope it helps.

CN security certificate error Symptom: When trying to access Gmail via IMAP,
you encounter the error, 'The server you are connected to is using a
security certificate that could not be verified. The certificate's CN name
does not match the passed value. Do you want to continue using this server?'

Explanation: Make sure you've set up your mail client for IMAP1 access
rather than POP2 access. In addition, please verify that you have entered
'imap.Gmail.com' rather than 'pop.Gmail.com' as your Incoming Server
setting.

This is all it said. I know it doesn't sound like much but, maybe it's just
what you need, smiles. Have a good day.

Your friend,
Gena

Subject: [JAWS-Users] WLM and GMail settings

My WLM settings got screwed up somehow and now I am having issues retrieving
email from Gmail. Among the issues are the following error message:

Windows Live Mail

The server you are connected to is using a security graphic 603 certificate
that could not be verified.

The certificate's CN name does not match the passed

value.

Do you want to continue using this server?

Yes No

If someone has the correct settings within WLM for retrieving email could
you forward them to me?

Lastly, I tried creating a new account and now I have an account called
gmail and GMail2 and I would like either to delete both and start over or
maybe just modify one and delete the other one. Thanks much.

BTW, to the list owners I might have sent messages to the wrong Jaws list
earlier. Sorry bout that. This has not been a productive day for me. (smile)
