Turning off browser mode seems to work with JAWS 9, although it is still somewhat awkward to navigate the Search Settings page this way. But at least I can adjust the sliders and activate the Save button. Thanks.

Gerald

Hi Gerald,
with browser mode switched off (insert + z), you should be able to tab to both the check box for opening results in a new window and the save button. You can interact with them using the normal keystrokes (spacebar for the check box, and spacebar or enter for the button). I've checked this is the case using Jaws 10 and IE8, but don't have Jaws 9 to check there, so I'd be grateful if you could let me know whether the above method works with Jaws 9.

David.

Thanks for this information. How do you tell Google to open each search result in a new browser window? And how do you activate the Save button to save your preferences?
