Hello,

It sounds like the word 2007 document is not opening in: Print View.

You can verify this in two ways.

1.) Jaws will say what the document view is - when the word document is first opened.

2.) choose view, from the word menu
then document view sub menu.
Ensure that the print layout option is checked.

HTH,

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Can't edit documents in Word 2007 after having newvideocard installed

Hi folks. I just discovered a problem while trying to edit a document in Word 2007. I’m using JAWS 12, Build 1170. When I try to navigate a document in Word 2007 with the arrow keys or CTRL-right arrow or CTRL-left arrow to move by word, JAWS no longer reads the text I have in focus. I’m also having this issue in JAWS 13, which I have installed on my system. The problem only seems to occur in Word documents using Word 2007.

I believe the problem first started occurring when I had a new NVIDIA GTX 460 videocard installed on my system last week. Prior to this, I had been using an NVIDIA Geforce 8800 GT card with no problems. I’m using a custom built PC running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit with SP1 installed. My system is a 2.4 GHZ Pentium quadcore processor with 4 GB RAM. As I mentioned earlier, I’m having this issue in both JAWS 12 and 13 while editing Word 2007 documents. It does not occur in excel or other editing applications like Windows Live Mail. I suspect this might be a video intercept driver issue, but not sure.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Chris.
