Hi Cathie,

Try the following;
Alt + tab until you have your Jaws window in focus.

2. Press your alt key, press the letter (O, for options, & the letter B, for
basics.
3. Tab to, Run JAWS from System Tray, & press the spacebar to check this box
if it's unchecked.
4. Now, tab to okay & press the enter / spacebar to save the change & close.

Now Jaws will reside in the syystem tray & will be out of the alt _+ tab
order. Take care.
Mike

  Subject: [JAWS-Users] jaws on taskbar

Hi, I’d like to have jaws run in the background. When I press alt tab
between open files, jaws is always one of the items that is part of the
cycle.
pressing alt tab right now produces
  windows live mail inbox
  jaws
  desktop
jaws on taskbar; this email message.
I can not find the place to make it run in the background. I’m using
windows 7 & jaws 12; am fairly sure that this was not a problem on windows
xp.
  Thanks,
  Cathie
