Hi Dan,

Thank you for getting back. I have found a program & I'm in the process of
converting my files. Right now I'm mostly playing around trying to learn
the program, & trying to figure which of their programs would be the best
buy for what I need to do now & in the future. Thanks again, take care.
Mike

  Mike,

Actually, what you are wanting to do is to extract the message content
from
all the controls included in a .eml file.

I did see some programs designed to do that out there but didn't pay much
attention to them since we were talking about converting them to txt.

If you do a google and search for eml2txt or eml to txt you'll find a
  number of choices.

  Good luck.

  Hi Steve,

Thank you for your reply. I do understand what you're saying but, take a
.EML file & change the file extension to .TXT & try to read it! You
wouldn't believe all the crap you have to sift through to get to the
message, & that's just in a small message. So, that's why I would like to
convert the files & not just change the file extensions. Take care.
  Mike

    Mike,

An .eml file is in reality a .txt file.
